How to Inject Steroids?
When you need to learn how to to inject Anabolic Steroids. what should you do? What type of needles should be used? We offer advice on preparation, procedure, and everything else you need to know. Check out our full article which will help you make your first injections safely and successfully.
How to inject anabolic steroids (HCG and HGH are different)
All anabolic steroids based on oil and water-based must be taken intramuscularly. This means that the injection must penetrate the skin and the subcutaneous tissue to enter the muscle itself. Intramuscular injections are used when it is desired to absorb the products quickly. The most common places for an intramuscular injection are the buttocks, the lateral side of the thigh, and the deltoid area of the arm. The muscles of these areas, especially the gluteal muscles, are quite thick.
Due to the large number of muscle fibers and an extensive fascia (fascia is a type of connective tissue that surrounds and separates muscles), the drug has a large absorption surface. Absorption is further promoted by the large supply of blood to these muscles. Ideally, intramuscular injections should be administered deep into the muscle, away from the main nerves and blood vessels.
The best place for steroid injections is in the middle gluteal muscle which is located in the upper outer quadrant of the buttocks. The iliac crest serves as a landmark for this quadrant. The spot for an adult injection is usually 7 1 / 2 centimeters (2 to 3 inches) below the iliac crest. The iliac crest is the top of the pelvic girdle on the posterior side. You can find the iliac crest by palpating the upper bone area above each gluteal muscle.
The upper outer quadrant is preferable because the muscle in this part is quite thick and contains few nerves. The probability of injecting the drug into a blood vessel is low in this area. Injection into this part reduces the risk of injury to the sciatic nerve that runs through the lower and mid-buttocks. This nerve controls the posterior portion of each thigh and the entire leg from the knee. If an injection is too close to the nerve or is actually touching it, extreme pain and temporary paralysis may be felt in these areas. It is for this reason that we must stay as far from this area as possible.
If for some reason it is impossible to inject into the gluteal region, the second choice is the lateral part of the thigh. Usually, intramuscular injections in the thigh are only indicated for infants and children. It is the lateral muscle of the thigh area that must be injected intramuscularly.
This part is determined using the knee and the great trochanter of the femur as a landmark. The big trochanter is the bone area that you can feel where the femur joins the pelvic girdle. The middle part of the muscle is found by measuring the width of the hand above the knee and the lower palm to the greater trochanter. Injection into the front part of the thigh or inside the thigh is extremely imprudent. These areas contain nerves as well as a number of blood vessels.
What needles to use?
It is important to choose the appropriate syringe for administering injectable anabolic steroids. The main components of a syringe include a cylindrical body and a piston to which a hollow needle is attached. The recommended syringe for anabolic steroid injections is a 22 [1 ½ inch] or 23 [1 inch] caliber syringe with a 3 cc case.
This length allows deep penetration to reach the inside of the muscle tissue. Shorter needles, 5 / 8 or 1 ½ are generally not sufficient for intramuscular injections.
The size of the caliber of a syringe represents the diameter of the needle. The smaller the number, the wider the needle. An 27 needle is very thin. An 18 caliber is quite large, it is often referred to as a "cannon". Both 22 and 23 templates are thin enough to be easy to insert, and large enough to allow solutions to be powered.
- Injection Glue: 23 Gauge 1,5 Inch Needle Length
- Thigh injection: 25 1 gauge inch of needle length
- Deltoid Injection: 25 1 Gauge Inch Needle Length
There are a number of things that must be done in order to make a safe and adequate intramuscular injection. First, before handling needles or vials, the user must take a full shower. Then an alcohol pad should be used to clean the injection area and another alcohol swab should be used to clean the rubber stopper on the top of the bottle. Then take a new syringe, remove its plastic top, draw approximately 2 ccs of air in it and insert it into the vial of your anabolic product. Inject this air into the vial, which will create pressure in the vial and make it easier to draw the oil-based preparations. Then turn the bottle head down and slowly pull the oil until you have at least 1 / 4 cc.
For example, if someone were to take an injection of 1 cc, he should draw about 1 1 / 4 ccs at 1 1 / 2 ccs of fluid. Then, tap on the side of the syringe to help the air bubbles that have been drawn into the syringe to rise upwards. At this time, the excess 1 / 4-1 / 2 cc may be injected into the vial and the needle removed.
Then, hold the needle-less syringe head up and continue tapping to encourage any future air bubbles in the top of the syringe. Now, exchange the needle with a new one. The needle does not suffer any damage when pushed through the rubber plunger on the vial. It is important not to touch this needle before injection. It should not come into contact with a counter or your fingers, it should not be cleaned with alcohol.
This needle is sterile and should not be touched. At this point, once again buffer the injection area with alcohol, then press the plunger of the syringe while holding the needle to the side, until the air bubbles are completely out . Once a thread of oil appears at the top of the needle, allowing it to flow from the surface of the needle ensures lubrication.
At this point, take the syringe and hold it as a dart. Use the other hand to stretch the skin over the injection area and then push the needle until it enters. After inserting it deep enough into the muscle, pull on the plunger for a few seconds to make sure it does not fill with blood, which would have indicated that the needle was injected into a blood vessel.
If there is no blood in the syringe, slowly depress the plunger until all the oil is injected. Then quickly remove the needle and take another alcohol swab and press firmly on the injection area. This will minimize bleeding, if any. By pressing firmly on the injection area and massaging a little, some of the pain may be reduced. It is important that the liquid is not injected too quickly because it causes more pain during the injection and in the days that follow.
Once this step is complete, replace the plastic caps to protect the needles and make sure they are properly stored (then discard or bring to your pharmacist). To avoid excessive scar tissue on the injection site, it is not wise to inject more than 2 ccs of solution per shot. It is also not safe to use the same injection site more than twice a week (once a week is better).
Tips and preparations
- Always heat the vial or ampoule to body temperature prior to injection. You can do this by placing it under your arm for about five minutes or placing the bottle in hot water.
- Just before injection, push the plunger to allow a drop of liquid to form on the tip of the needle and let it run over the needle. This lubricates the needle with the oily solution of your anabolic steroids.
- Arrange the tip of the needle (open V) to the top of the body.
- If you wish, you can numb the injection area with ice before proceeding.
